Assala Sayara is a Palestinian activist and social worker, fighting for the human rights of her people.
Through her activism and the power of her voice, Sayara is one of the hardest working Sydneysiders keeping in the spotlight the unfolding genocide in Gaza, a continuation of the ethnic cleansing that began with the Nakba in 1948, which displaced hundreds of thousands and led to a global Palestinian diaspora.
Today, over 13 million Palestinians live outside their homeland, including Sayara, who helps organise weekly protests for Palestine.
