Thousands of revellers flocked to Darlinghurst’s Oxford Street on Saturday night to watch the 48th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade, with over 160 floats and 9,000 marchers.
Police presence was high this year given the recent terror attack at Bondi and threats made against minorities across the country.
This year’s theme was ‘ECSTATICA’, an act of rebellion yet a celebration of life where happiness beams brighter when everyone comes together.
