Video shot and edited by Tys Occhiuzzi in Santiago, Chile
A UTS journalism and international studies student on exchange in Chile, has captured scenes of a country in crisis.
Tys Occhiuzzi filed this report (October 26) of the protests that continue to grow against President Sebastián Piñera.
At the time of filing, 19 people had been killed – with the United Nations sending a delegation to investigate allegations of torture by the national police.
Chile's human rights commission is currently investigating allegations that Baquedano metro station – the centre of Santiago's protests – has been used as a torture centre. #Baquedano #ParoNacional #ChileViolatesHumanRigths https://t.co/8qmxCVlcYA
