Nurse Nettie Hodgson-Taylor found purpose in the pain of the death of her teenage son.
In the remote Northern Territory Indigenous community of Ali Curung, she is a vital support for the 354 residents there, many of whom deal with poverty and isolation.
“Desperation and poverty are like a curtain across the doors of opportunity,” she tells Central News.
