The Atlas Network of think tanks is a major spreader of climate change denial messaging around the world while giving the appearance of independence, according to a panel of experts.

US academics Nancy MacLean from Duke University and J. Timmons Roberts from Brown University, joined  University of Technology Sydney professor Jeremy Walker and Brendan DeMelle, the executive director of climate change platform DeSmog, for an online webinar earlier today, in which they outlined what they said was a huge global effort to influence the media and public policy on climate change.

Former Greens Senator and author Scott Ludlam chaired the discussion ‘The Atlas Network: Big oil, climate disinformation and constitutional democracy’, which was organised by UTS professor James Goodman, and supported by Central News. Click on the above video to see the full discussion.
