In the Northern Territory, the town water supplies of several remote Aboriginal communities are contaminated by uranium and little is being done about it, an investigation by Central News shows.
Despite $28 million in funding announced in April 2021 to improve the water quality of at least 10 communities, the Territory government continues to drag out the process, raising the public health concerns of Aboriginal people living in Central Desert communities like Laramba.
