Lucy Haslam took up the fight to legalise medicinal cannabis in Australia when she saw the dramatic relief it brought her son Dan, as he battled late-stage bowel cancer.

Together they founded the social movement United in Compassion, which was instrumental in seeing Australian law changed, but sadly not until after Dan’s death, aged just 25.

Now Lucy says “Dan’s Law” is broken.

In this audio documentary by Sinead Nolan, Lucy and other medicinal cannabis campaigners describe how terminally ill patients are being forced onto the black market to alleviate their suffering.
